Early Fall Drive: Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park is nestled on the western side of the Hudson River between Bear Mountain State Park and Sterling Forest State Park. This was one of the first parks that inspired my love for the outdoors. Its magic hills still leave me in a trance-like state of awe. Whether I was living upstate or in NYC, this drive was my scenic “long cut” to and from NYC. Whenever I was driving up from the city and felt stressed out, I’d take this route because I’d enter the park feeling on edge and when I left, I was always calmer, happier and more at ease about anything going on in my life. It’s a park that always has magic to give as long as you explore and keep your eyes peeled. This is a short video of a drive through Harriman a few days ago:
