Trailhead Directions: From the NYS Thruway, take the Palisades Interstate Parkway North to Exit 14. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Willow Grove Road.  Continue a few miles as Willow Grove Road / Route 106. Continue on 106 to the first traffic circle, take the second exit continuing with Route 106. It will be the second roadside parking area on your right, after going through the traffic circle, and will be just beyond Little Long Pond.

Hike Directions: From the trailhead on Route 106, cross the street and walk south into the forest on the blue blazed Victory Trail. In 0.25 miles, make a sharp right onto the red blazed trail. Continue 0.55 miles to the summit of Parker Cabin, with limited views to the southeast. Continue across the summit ridge and down the mountain on the red blazes, soon reaching an intersection with the yellow blazed Triangle Trail. Turn left onto the Triangle Trail and in 0.8 miles you’ll reach Lake Skenonto. Venture off trail for solitudinous camping and picnicking spots that dot the lake area. For a moment you’ll feel a million miles away from any city.  Enjoy this wilderness haven and when ready, continue by making a sharp left onto the blue blazed Victory Trail, as it runs parallel to the lake before departing to a swampy area, bringing you back to the trailhead parking in 1.9 miles.
