Hike Directions: At 1.32 miles from Jenny Lane, reach a beautiful overlook, and after another 0.32 miles, another great lookout. Continue on the BLUE-BLAZED High Peters Kill Trail as you descend below the cliffs for 0.09 miles before crossing the Peters Kill and making a RIGHT onto the YELLOW-BLAZED Trail which you’ll follow alongside the Peters Kill.  After about a mile, you’ll come to a large waterfall alongside which stands old hydroelectric power house ruins from the 1920’s.  Continue in the direction of the trail, and in another 425 feet (carefully) cross US-44/55 and directly onto the RED-BLAZED Awosting Falls Carriage Road. Continue for 0.44 miles to Awosting Falls on your RIGHT. Keep on the RED-BLAZED carriage road as you ascend the hill for 0.31 miles to the Minnewaska Park Entrance (to your RIGHT), where you’ll turn LEFT at the first dirt road on your left.  Continue for 0.27 miles to the end of the path, turn RIGHT, pass through the gate of the park and cross US-44/55 again (0.06 miles). Walk 50 feet and turn LEFT into the woods and onto the unmarked path you began on (the northern end of the High Peters Kill Trail).  Follow this for 0.8 miles back to the path on your LEFT for the parking area.
