Hike Directions: Park at the Warwick Valley Winery ($5 as of this 2016 writing) and walk one mile north on Little York Road. Turn left at a gated woodland path and enter the woods beyond the gate. After 100 feet, veer left and uphill on a narrower but clearly eroded path. It veers right and uphill, then makes a sharp left at a fork as it climbs more steeply to fork in the road. Taking the left fork will bring you to a quarry pond. Continue back to the fork and uphill to the left now, reaching the summit very shortly. While the summit has limited views to the South and West, you can bushwack down the other side of the mountain to what I call “Adam’s Nose,” a rugged and rocky camel’s hump of trail that offers expansive 180 degree views.
Scenery: 10/10 with bushwack; 6/10 without bushwack.
