Hike Directions: Walk into the woods on open trail beyond trailhead, steadily ascending to a col between Vly and Bearpen. Turn right for a short walk to the summit of Vly (viewless), then return to the same spot to continue past a hunting shelter uphill to the open, scenic summit of Bearpen Mountain. From the Bearpen summit, retrace your steps to the intersection at the hunting shelter and turn right and downhill to return to the parking area.
