Trailhead Directions: From I-5, take the exit for La Jolla Village Drive and turn right (coming from the north) or left (coming from the south). Continue downhill, passing a gas station on your left and continuing up the hill to a junction with Torrey Pines Road. Use the two left lanes to turn onto Torrey Pines Road and continue 2.7 miles to make a slight right onto Prospect Place. Go 500 feet to a trailhead parking area on your right, big enough for about 10 cars.

Hike Directions: From the parking area off Prospect Place, walk to an opening in a wall between houses and continue down steps to a cliff walk along the La Jolla coast. Soon you’ll arrive at La Jolla Cove, with views of seals, sea caves and Black’s Beach up the coast. From the cove, you can continue down to Windansea Beach, but for this hike, make this your turn around point and return to your car from whence you came.
