Driving Directions: From the northbound New York State Thruway, take exit 17 for Interstate 84-East.  Cross the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge and take exit 11, directly after the toll booths.  Turn RIGHT onto 9D-South.  After 1.3 miles, turn LEFT on Hudson Avenue, and make a SLIGHT RIGHT 15606907216_f7ceef3685_oonto Dennings Avenue. Go downhill, staying left to continue to the end of Dennings Avenue.  Park at the Dennings Point trailhead parking at the bottom of the hill.

Hike Directions: Follow the WHITE BLAZES, beginning first on a gravel path, crossing a pedestrian bridge over the Metro-North Railway, and continue into the park on the WHITE BLAZES. You’ll come to a fork in the road where you can either go left or right, both on white blazes.  Turn whichever way you want, the roads lead to the same place.  If you stay to the RIGHT, you’ll arrive at great views of the Hudson and small beaches to take it all in, just a bit sooner than if you follow the white blazes left.  Either way, you’ll find yourself in a serene place amidst the warm bustle of Beacon, NY.

Scenery: 7/10
