Trailhead Directions: From the Tuxedo, NY Train Station, take Route 17 North 2.3 miles to Route 17A. Take the ramp on the LEFT and cross the road at the top of the ramp into the bus station parking lot on your LEFT.
Hike Directions: Beginning at the Bus Parking Lot on the north side of Route 17A, follow the WHITE BLAZES for half a mile to a south-facing lookout. Continue another quarter mile to limited views to the south, and 1.2 miles after, you’ll reach an intersection with the ORANGE-BLAZED Townsend Trail. Turn LEFT here for 1.8 miles to the GREEN-BLAZED Long Meadow Extension. Turn RIGHT here onto the GREEN BLAZES for 1.5 miles to Orange Turnpike and the ORANGE-BLAZED Townsend Trail. Keep to the RIGHT to follow the Townsend Trail then after 0.44 miles make a LEFT onto the WHITE-BLAZED Wildcat Mountain Trail for a little under 2 miles back to the bus station.
