Distance: 1 mile, out and back
Time: 20 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Driving Directions: Head East across the Bear Mountain Bridge, and turn LEFT onto Route 9D. Park on either side of the road, immediately after the bridge.
Hike Directions: Carefully walk over to the bridge and find the WHITE-BLAZED Appalachian Trail. Follow the AT pedestrian walkway for half a mile, crossing the bridge and turning SHARPLY RIGHT on a RED-BLAZED Trail. The red blazes end shortly ahead, and you’ll turn LEFT on the BLUE-BLAZED Twin Forts Trail, that soon crosses a suspension bridge into Fort Montgomery Park. Return the way you came.
