New Hampshire is home to some fantastic mountain peaks! Not only does the Appalachian Trail cross through its formidable Presidential Range, but it also is a great place for shorter day climbs, like Mount M
onadnock to the south or Mount Wantastiquet on its Western border with Vermont. I always like to drive the Kancamagus Highway en route either to or from the Presidentials, as it is a heavenly, curvy road out of a dream, winding you around mountain king after mountain king, only to return you to reality hours later.
